By Colum Findley, Sarah Chew & Coggin Galbreath

Quinn, the son of the most important woman in town, is Mysterious.

Being Mysterious is NOT ALLOWED.

Forced to run away from home, he joins a ragtag group of five other Mysty children with unusual abilities. Loritz can copy voices. Ethel can float. Squid has tentacles. Posy can take herself apart and put herself back together. And Andie–well, with Andie, it’s complicated. They all live with their enigmatic guardian, the 9O year old Ms. Montgomery, in a safe house hidden behind an out-of-order washing machine in a disused launderette. It was the perfect hiding place. But it couldn’t last forever.

There’s a sinister new mayor in town with an anti-Mysterious agenda. As if that isn’t bad enough, he knows Quinn’s secret. As if THAT isn’t bad enough, Quinn’s mum has endorsed him on her radio show. The launderette kids have a choice to make: stay in hiding, or go out and try to change things for the better?

‘Mysterious’ is a fresh, contemporary ensemble show about those who don't want to blend in, those who can't blend in, and those who make the choice to stand with them.
