A night of acoustic, soulful music from singer-songwriter, Jonluke McKie.

Jonluke McKie is a Sheffield born singer-songwriter and theatre maker living in North Shields. Performing captivating original songs with laid back, rhymical acoustic guitar, soulful vocals and the occasional bit of loop pedal.

Jonluke’s lush, informal yet intimate performances explore themes of class, queerness, love and loss, and starting a family, told with heart and humour - creating beautifully enduring lyrical and musical storytelling.

Some of the tracks Jonluke will be performing came from his one-man theatre show The Devil Danced in Our Eyes Performed at Live Theatre and Camden Peoples Theatre in 2019. The show used storytelling, monologue and looping body percussion and vocals to create a soundtrack to the coming of age story of a teenage boy - Jamie.

So expect to be taken on a heart-felt musical journey from teenage exploration in Sheffield to current day queer parenthood in Shields, sung in an authentic voice and style like no other.
