Three week festival celebrating the finest (in our opinion) female and non-binary musicians, curated by Martha Hill.
WOMEN ARE MINT. No truer statement has ever been uttered. It’s also an absolutely banging festival on Alphabetti’s new intimate D’Addario Stage, curated by local musician Martha Hill. Guaranteed to satisfy every musical itch you need to scratch. From powerful singer-songwriters, to dynamic hip-hop artists, to mind-blowing DJs and performers; there is nothing you might want that Women Are Mint doesn’t offer.
We believe that great art should be for everyone not just those who can afford it so every performance is part of Alphabetti’s Pay What You Feel ticketing scheme, meaning you may what you feel you can afford at the end of the show. Tickets will sell out fast so booking is essential. Full line up is outlined below.
Women Are Mint was originally created in 2018 as a series of events in partnership with Alphabetti Theatre, funded by a Women's Vote Centenary grant, designed to celebrate and provide a platform to women in music.
Off the back of their success, Newcastle based musician Martha Hill grew the idea thanks to the support of Arts Council England and Cobalt Studios into a three day music event, that not only showcases female and non-binary talent, but also provides educational opportunities to aspiring female and non-binary musicians in the North East.
Now Martha and Alphabetti are teaming up once again to grow the festival into a three week long bonanza!
